MESSAGE FROM THE BOARD
Wow it is 2008 and we are off and running. The CADHS Board has met and established some common goals for our organization this year and with everyone’s involvement we can make it all happen.
First, thank you for your vote of confidence in all of your CADHS Board members. We are looking for an amazing year with all of your help.
Hope to see a lot of our members helping with Phoenix College and give a Kids a Smile in February. Since we are starting our mentorship program with them it is important that we support their programs. We look for support from them and they need our support. The students are so on fire that we need to be there for their wishes.
Hopefully one of your goals this year is to become more involved with your association. We were so excited by your support for our CE courses last year. Linda Rawls went beyond the call of duty with the speakers. Each one had so much to bring to the table. If you missed them please put them on your calendar for 2008. Hopefully we will see you January 12th at the ICU -Hygiene and CPR. Cindy Kleinman, a national speaker will be giving us tips on CPR and ICU. Cindy is a member of CADHS and we welcome her January 12th.
Two of our members have been nominated for national awards. Mary Casaboom for the Alfred C. Fones award and Emma Violante for the Irene Newman award. There are many more awards so please go to the ADHA web site and look them up. You may qualify for one yourself. Since we are in the top number of members for the ADHA we need to make ourselves more visible nationally. Linda Rawls informed me that Johnson and Johnson has their first award up this year.
Your involvement can be in helping us with membership. Mildred is always looking for help. We are looking to do some unusual volunteer work this year as an organization. Once all the nuts and bolts are in place we will share the information with you. The mentor program can take all of your help. Please volunteer and make a difference. We can use help with the mentor program. It takes all of us doing a little something to make things run smoothly. I am
looking forward to an amazing year with lots of growth and recognition for CADHS.
JoAnne Harrelson, R.D.H.
